I began working for Glover Priest Solicitors in November 2020, starting out as Admin Support. My role was to support all staff who required admin aid and to download and distribute the Mortgage offers through our lender portals to our Active case management system.
Since then, I worked closely with the Conveyancing team and began experiencing key areas such as the Sale and Purchase processes. I developed this area over a few months and earned a new role as legal admin assistant whereby I improved my conveyancing knowledge and began learning the Conveyancing structure and legal procedure more in depth. I was supported hugely through this period by all colleagues at Glover Priest who pushed me to expand my knowledge of conveyancing and in so doing, take on more challenging work. After this period, I became a Paralegal for the firm, something that Glover Priest showed me in this regard, is that if you put effort into your work, they will reward you. After becoming a Paralegal, Glover Priest allowed me to experience multiples areas within the firm, I worked within Wills & Probate, I worked in our Accounts team, I also worked within the Family department for a short period. Glover Priest were incredible in allowing me to experience these different areas and allowing me to determine the routes I was most interested in. I was appointed as the internal trainer for the firm, another extremely rewarding role, which allowed me to improve communication skills, leadership skills, organisation skills and overall allow me to help others within the firm. Glover Priest provided me the tools I needed to progress, and this is something I will always be grateful for. These tools allowed me to develop my skills and furthermore, achieve a Training Contract with the firm. I am currently doing my Training to qualify as a Solicitor, during this time Glover Priest have provided me with one on one training, specific area linked courses, qualified colleagues who have developed my abilities in multiple legal areas. They have been encouraging, supportive and dedicated in developing me during my training, and this support has been incredible and I cannot thank them enough for the position I am currently in.
