Kickstart Your Legal Career in Conveyancing

Our Legal Apprenticeships in Conveyancing offer a great opportunity to jumpstart your career in law with pathways to becoming either a qualified Paralegal or Chartered Legal Executive.

At GloverPriest, we’re excited to help aspiring legal professionals start or enhance their careers. Our Legal Apprenticeship in Conveyancing Programme is designed to give you the hands-on experience and knowledge you need to thrive in the legal world. You'll work closely with experienced solicitors, handling real cases and learning the ropes of the profession.

Through our apprenticeship programme, you’ll receive on-the-job training while studying for recognised qualifications; splitting your time between practical work and academic study. This approach allows you to apply what you learn in real-world scenarios, making you career-ready by the time you qualify.

Not only will you benefit from continuous employment, but your apprenticeship will also be fully-funded meaning you won’t have to worry about tuition fees.

Why a Legal Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to combine work and learning by blending on-the-job training with off-site study, all while avoiding university debt. According to Legal Cheek, the average law student racks up £96,444 of debt, but our programme helps you avoid this burden.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have gained the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to succeed in your chosen career and/or progress onto further study.

Benefits include:

  • Combine work and study
  • No tuition fees
  • Earn a salary while learning
  • Develop transferable, soft skills
  • Employer-led training aligned with business needs
  • Entitlement to statutory benefits such as sick pay, holiday, and maximum working hours

What’s the Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship?

The Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship is a beginner-friendly programme where you’ll get to work on real legal cases while studying for a CILEX Level 3 qualification. You’ll spend most of your time gaining practical experience and the rest studying law principles and legal practice. Your training programme will be specially designed to fit your needs and ensure you get the right mix of practical skills and academic knowledge.

What’s the Level 6 Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship?

The Level 6 Apprenticeship is suitable for anyone, whether you're just starting or already have some legal experience. You’ll work in Conveyancing while studying part-time for a CILEX Level 6 qualification. Depending on your existing experience, the programme can include training at both Level 3 and Level 6, and you'll need to pass an assessment at the end to become a Chartered Legal Executive.

A Chartered Legal Executive (CLE) is a qualified professional who can perform many of the same tasks as solicitors, including managing legal cases, representing clients, and providing legal advice, but typically work under the supervision of a solicitor or another authorised legal practitioner.

Who are CILEX?

The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) is the professional association and governing body for Chartered Legal Executive lawyers, other legal practitioners, and paralegals. For over 50 years, CILEX has offered unparalleled access to a flexible career in law, working closely with the government and the Ministry of Justice.

Can I do an apprenticeship if I already have a degree?

Yes, apprenticeships are open to anyone looking to learn a new skill. If you already hold a law degree, you can apply for the Chartered Legal Executive apprenticeship but not the Paralegal apprenticeship.

How will I be supported?

You’ll get continuous support from a supervisor and experienced solicitors. CILEX also provides academic resources and support to ensure you succeed in your studies.

Do you offer any work experience?

Yes, we do occasionally provide work experience opportunities. These placements are meant to give you insight into a legal work environment and help you decide if a career in law is for you. Visit the link above for availability and application details.

How much will I be paid?

Our apprentices earn a competitive salary designed to support your growth and development throughout the apprenticeship.

How many roles are available, where are they based, and when will they start?

Each year, we offer multiple apprenticeship positions across our various offices. The number of roles and locations may change annually, so please refer to our website for the latest information. The programme generally commences in September, with specific start dates communicated during the recruitment process.
